Protection contre le CSRF

Qu'est-ce que le CSRF ?

Le CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery, ou falsification de requête intersite) est une vulnérabilité de sécurité où un attaquant incite un utilisateur authentifié à exécuter des actions non désirées à son insu. En clair, l'attaquant exploite la session ouverte de l'utilisateur pour envoyer des requêtes malveillantes en son nom.

Mécanisme d'attaque CSRF

Le déroulement typique est le suivant :

  1. L'utilisateur se connecte au site A et obtient un cookie d'authentification
  2. L'utilisateur visite un site malveillant B
  3. Le site B envoie automatiquement des requêtes au site A en utilisant le cookie de l'utilisateur
  4. Le site A ne peut pas distinguer si la requête provient de l'utilisateur légitime ou de l'attaquant

Stratégies de protection

Salvo fournit un middleware CSRF pour protéger votre application :

  • Ajout d'un jeton CSRF caché dans les formulaires
  • Vérification de la présence d'un jeton CSRF valide dans les requêtes utilisateur
  • Validation par défaut des requêtes POST, PATCH, DELETE et PUT

Implémentation du CSRF dans Salvo

Csrf est une structure implémentant Handler, contenant un champ skipper permettant d'exclure certaines requêtes de la vérification. Par défaut, les méthodes Method::POST, Method::PATCH, Method::DELETE et Method::PUT sont vérifiées.

Salvo propose deux modes de stockage des jetons CSRF :

  1. CookieStore : Stocke le jeton dans un cookie et vérifie sa correspondance avec le champ csrf-token dans l'en-tête ou le formulaire
  2. SessionStore : Stocke le jeton en session, nécessitant l'utilisation conjointe du middleware de session
